I hope you’re not too sick of my reviews I’ve been posting lately… the truth is, deadlines make things happen, if I don’t have a deadline, months can go by without me finding the time to post anything. And it’s not that I don’t want to, it’s the fact that it does take that much time. I used to have it as a student, I can imagine myself being a student again (not in the exam era though) and spending hours a day doing manicures, make up and blogging, gosh that would be really nice =) However I graduated and made my everyday full of obligations, I could lay on the couch every day after work but apparently I don’t really want to (ohhh, but the thought sounds soooo promising! =P). My manicures take the toll as well – I change them once a week and lose sleep (literally) because of it. Today’s manicure is no exception – I had no time to do the whole nail routine, so I just twisted up the one I had been wearing for 6 days…

So today I am showing you a polish that I bought myself, I finally found this one on the shelf of Mueller – ever since it was released, it kept being sold out in every store I went to… now it’s mine, Essence Sparkle Sand Effect in Hey, Nude! =) I’ve read it in reviews that it is sheer, so I thought this would be perfect to layer over my last manicure I showed you in my previous post – Catrice Mona Lisa is staring back. I left the accented nails with nail stickers untouched and here’s the result:

 
 
 
I wore this for 3 more days before taking it off. I was amazed at how well it stayed on my nails for the whole time! I had 1 layer of base polish Essie Nourish me, another layer of Essie Fill the gap (I don’t know exactly why I keep using the latter, I thought it was a ridge filler, it is and it isn’t, still figuring it out – but it bubbles like crazy, thankfully on the “inside” of the surface), then it was 3 layers of Catrice Mona Lisa is staring back, a layer of top coat Essie Good to go, and then another layer of Essence Hey, Nude! – 7 layers!!

I like this manicure a lot =) What do you think? =)

2D nail stickers review – ocena nalepk za nohte

Danes imam za vas pripravljeno oceno nalepk za nohte, ki sem jih dobila v oceno s spletne drogerije Moja Drogerija.

Today I have prepared for you a review of nail stickers I was sent from Slovenian internet store Moja Drogerija.

 
Nalepke za nohte rada dodam k nežni manikuri, po mojem mnenju lepo pašejo zraven =) Tokrat sem uporabila Catrice lak Mona Lisa is staring back, ki ga (žal) ne proizvajajo več. Gre za kožni lak, ki je precej prosojen, zato sem morala nanesti tri plasti, da sem dosegla dobro prekrivnost. Nalepko sem odlepila s podlage s pomočjo dobre pincete, da je nisem poškodovala, in jo previdno namestila na prstanec.

When it comes to nail stickers I love having a subtle manicure, I think they go along gorgeously =) For this mani I chose Catrice’s polish Mona Lisa is staring back, which has (sadly) been discontinued. It’s a nude polish that is not too opaque, I had to paint it in three layers to reach the desired opacity. I used a pair of good tweezers to gently remove the sticker from the packaging and carefully applied it to my ring finger.

 
 
Čeprav so nalepke označene kot 2D, so na nohtih rahlo 3D pred uporabo nadlaka. Z nadlakom sem nato nalepki na obeh rokah zavarovala pred predčasno odstranitvijo. Za popoln 2D efekt bi potrebovala še kakšno plast, vendar me grbinica, kjer je kamenček, ni motila. Je pa zanimivo, da je po nanosu nadlaka nalepka izgledala, kot da se je pogreznila v barvni lak.

Even though the stickers are called 2D, they were a little bit 3D until I used a top coat to protect them from getting off prematurely. I would probably have to use another coat to reach the true 2D effect, but the bump where the small rhinestone is didn’t bother me at all. What was interesting to me was that after the use of top coat the sticker looked as if it sunk into the colored polish.
 
 
Osebno imam rada takšne nalepke, ki so zelo diskretne, ampak krasen dodatek k nežni manikuri. Nosila sem ju 9 dni brez problema. Pri odstranjevanju sama uporaba odstranjevalca laka ni bila dovolj; ko se je plast nadlaka raztopila, sem ju morala odlepiti z nohta na enak način, kot sem ju nanesla. Zame so te nalepke čista desetka – krasne, ugodne, enostavne za uporabo in vzdržljive. Najdete jih tule.

I really like this kind of discrete stickers, they go along with a nude manicure perfectly. I wore them for 9 days without a problem. The use of polish remover alone did not suffice to remove them; when the top coat layer dissolved I had to peel them off in the same way I applied them. For me this stickers are a perfect ten – they look amazing, they are cheap, easy to use and durable. Slovenian readers can find them here.

Micro Cell 2000 nail rescue oil review – ocena olja za obnohtno kožico

V današnji objavi vam bom predstavila olje za obnohtno kožico znamke Micro Cell 2000, ki mi je bilo poslano v oceno s strani spletne drogerije Click2Chick – ponovno so me izbrali kot eno od ambasadork meseca, tokrat za mesec oktober =)

Today’s review is about a Micro Cell 2000 nail rescue oil that was sent to me from Slovenian internet drugstore Click2Chick, since I got chosen to be one of the ambassadors of the month again =)

Upoštevala sem navodila in ga nanesla na očiščene nelakirane nohte, pri čemer sem opazila, da jih olje s svojo barvo rahlo rumenkasto obarva:

Application: Apply on unvarnished and cleaned nails and massage in gently. Before application of nail polishes, wash and dry hands and nails thoroughly.

I followed the instructions and applied it on my unvarnished and cleaned nails, I’ve noticed that the oil’s color leaves them looking a bit yellowish:

 
 
Nato sem olje nežno vmasirala in pustila nekaj časa, da se vpije.

Then I gently massaged it in and let it absorb for some time.

 
 
Pred nanosom katerega koli laka je seveda potrebno roke oprati. Olje ima zelo blag prijeten vonj po citrusih. Po enomesečni uporabi ugotavljam, da svojo nalogo dobro opravlja, ob redni uporabi je obnohtna kožica nahranjena. Minus, ki ga olje ima, je ta, da se ne vpije najhitreje (ni pa tako počasen kot npr. Lemony Flutter od LUSHa), drugi minus pa je precej visoka cena. Kljub siceršnji pozitivni oceni ne vidim, v čem je to olje toliko boljše od cenejših konkurenčnih, ki prav tako dobro opravijo svojo nalogo. Morda so moji nohti trenutno že sami po sebi v tako dobrem stanju (trkam po lesu), da ne vidim bistvene razlike. V kolikor bi ga želeli testirati sami, ga lahko naročite tule.

Before applying any nail polish you absolutely need to wash your hands. The oil has a gentle lovely scent of citruses. After a one month use I can say that it does it’s job well, if you use it regularly the cuticles are moisturized. The minus it has is that it takes some time to absorb (however it is not as slowly absorbing as for example Lemony Flutter from LUSH). The other minus is the relatively high price it has. Even though I give it a positive review, I can’t see in what way is it better than oils from other manufacturers that are cheaper and do the job just as good. Maybe my nails are now in a too good condition by themselves (knocking on woods) that I don’t see the difference. Slovenian readers can test for themselves by ordering it here.

N.NAIL Halloween Stamping Plate and N.Nail Mini Size Scraper & Stamp review

I love Halloween, I love the cats and witches and spider webs and all other symbols connected to it. In the last 10-15 years it’s popularity grew a lot in Slovenia, before that we never really celebrated it. We have our own masquerade holiday in February/March to “scare” the winter away, but it doesn’t hurt to have another holiday to party in outfits ;)

For this occasion I am posting a review of a N.Nail stamping plate, scraper and stamp from KKCenterHk store.

As you can see it’s not really only a Halloween plate since it also has some other summery motives. On the photo above the protective foil was still on the plate. When I removed it, I got a bit disheartened – the plate is a little bit damaged, it has a lot of small holes all over it, especially where the ghost design is, and it has a distinct scratch beside the seahorse.

 
I had to be careful not to get the polish into these holes and scratch, because they transfer as well. Otherwise the designs themselves transfer very good, I had no problem with them:

 
I also stamped a few of them on my nails (I was clumsy with my pinky, the pumpkin didn’t come through alright =P):

   

The motives are quite small, I notice that now that I have such long nails (btw they are getting too long now, I’ll have to shorten them). Otherwise the plate is fun to use, the scraper is plastic which I LOOOVEE (I hate metal scrapers that damage the plate) but I was a little clumsy with the mini stamp, I got used to the bigger one with a 5 cm handle and I kept dropping this one. It did it’s job very well, but with such long nails it was hard for me to hold it.

Predstavljam vam oceno paletke, ki sem jo kot blogerka kupila po posebni ponudbi spletne drogerije Moja Drogerija, gre za mat senčila znamke Sleek z imenom Ultra Mattes Darks V2.

Senčila so krasno pigmentirana (mat senčila so večkrat problematična v tem smislu). Pri opisu lastnosti palete ponovno ugotavljam iste razloge, zakaj sem tako zaljubljena v Sleek senčila - pigmentacija je čudovita, krasno se zabrisujejo, cena je super nizka in so v lepi embalaži z velikim ogledalom, priročni za v torbico. Všeč mi je celo njihov dvostranski spužvasti aplikator, ki ga priložijo za nanos senčil, čeprav v resnici vseeno skoraj vedno uporabljam čopiče (moram pa omeniti, da je čopič, priložen v Sleek Primer paleti naravnost grozen, prav tako so slabi Sleek čopiči za rdečilo/puder in senčilo za oči v žepni izdaji). Ponovno ugotavljam, da je edini minus ta, da se trosijo, tako po obrazu, kar me ne moti, kot znotraj palete, kar pa je lahko moteče, a meni dovolj zanemarljivo v primerjavi z dobrimi lastnostmi. The pigmentation is amazing (mattes can be problematic in this sense). There is not much more I can say about this one other than this is another example of why I'm so in love with Sleek - great pigmentation, blends divinely, super cheap and I love their packaging with a huge mirror inside, handy to fit in a purse. I even like the two-sided sponged applicators they put inside, admitting I mostly use my brushes (but I have to say the brush in SleekPrimer palette is abhoring and so are the pocket size brushes "Blusher/Powder" and "Eyeshadow" I own fromSleek). The only down side again is the fallout, if you mind it (as I've mentioned before, I don't care about it on my face, I do mind it a little bit when the shades mix in the palette itself though, nevertheless the bonuses of this product are in my opinion far greater so I can overlook this flaw easily). MeMeMe Electric Eyes quad review - ocena palete senčil

Anja iz Moje Drogerije mi je v oceno poslala izdelek znamke MeMeMe – gre za četvorček senčil v rumeno-zlati, srebrni, zeleni in modri barvi.

Anja from Moja Drogerija sent me a product from MeMeMe to review, it's an eyeshadow quad in yellow/gold, silver, goldish green and blue color.

Že v prejšnjih objavah sem omenila, da moram zaradi mastnih vek uporabljati podlago za sence, vendar sem kljub temu poizkusila, kako se MeMeMe senčila obnesejo brez nje. Zaradi dobre pigmentacije so bila dobro vidna, tudi po tem, ko so se mi zvečer po pričakovanjih malo nabrala v gubo. Takole izgledajo odtenki brez uporabe baze:

As I've mentioned in my previous posts, I have oily lids and I need to apply a base primer, otherwise the shadows crease on me. Nevertheless I tried these without the primer, pigmentation was good, at the end of the day they creased a little but were still very visible all over the lid. Here are the swatches without the primer:

 
Pravzaprav moj vtis po prvi uporabi senčil sploh ni bil dober. Zdelo se mi je, da bi bil nanos senčila krasen z mokrim čopičem, pri čemer nisem uporabila vode, temveč fiksator ličil v razpršilu (Alverde). Na čopič se je prijelo izjemno malo senčila in bila sem zelo razočarana nad pigmentacijo. V trenutku, ko pa je bil čopič spet suh, je postal nanos lahek in senčila veliko bolj vidna kot prej; očitno ta fiksator s senčili ne deluje na ta način, zato te metode nisem nikoli več uporabila. Uporaba mokrega čopiča (z uporabo navadne vode) daje boljše rezultate, vendar v resnici najraje uporabljam podlago za senčila, saj poleg tega, da se mi sence ne nabirajo v veko, krasno poudari barve =) Tule je nekaj slik senčil z naslednjimi podlagami: Essence I love stage, NYX svinčnik v odtenku Milk, del roke brez baze zaradi primerjave in Essencev črn gel za črtalo - slednji se je kot črni izkazal za najboljšega pri poudarjanju barv =)

My impression after the first use of it was actually not good at all. I expected it would work great with a wet brush, but I didn't use water, I used a make up fixator spray. The brush didn't pick up any eyeshadow and I was really taken aback. But when the brush got dry it started to work fine and I finally began to see eyeshadow on my eyes – the fixator I used (by Alverde) was clearly not working in this manner, I never reverted to this method again. Using a wet brush (by using water) works great, but I actually prefer using a primer because it makes the colors pop more =) Here are some photos with an Essence I love stage base, NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk, no base for comparison and Essence black gel liner as a base - as you can see, the black base produces the best results =)

Všeč mi je raznolikost barv, ki omogoča različne kombinacije ličenja, uspešno pa sem tudi skombinirala vse štiri barve na očeh (na žalost sem v slikanju naličenih oči res zanič, poleg tega sem imela možnost slikati oči le zvečer pod umetno svetlobo, pri čemer so na slikah izpadle barve povsem izprane in zato drugačne, kot sem jih videla v realnosti). Ni pa mi všeč, da se pod pritiskom na senčilo celotna notranjost premika, kot da ni dobro pritrjena v embalažo. Zaradi majhnosti obstaja možnost mešanja senčil med sabo, po drugi strani pa zavzame izjemno malo prostora in se ga brez problema nosi v torbici. Moja ocena je, da gre za uporaben izdelek zaradi različnih barvnih kombinacij, dobre pigmentacije in priročnosti. Izdelek lahko najdete tule.

I like that the colors are diverse so you can create different looks with different color combinations but I also succeeded in making a look with all four colors (unfortunately I suck at taking photos of eye make up, plus the only time I could take them was at night so the colors on photos were completely washed-out and nothing like in real life). I don't like how it feels a little flimsy inside though (when you apply pressure on the shadows the quad moves inside the plastic). Because it is tiny, the shadows can get mixed a little, but on the other hand the smallness makes it handy to carry in your purse. All in all I think this is a very useful product because of the different colors, good pigmentation and compactness. Slovenian readers can get it here.

Sleek i-Divine Vintage Romance palette – ocena paletke senčil

Iiiiiiiin še ena ocena te paletke, o kateri govorijo vsi kozmetični blogi. Ali res POTREBUJEM še eno Sleek paletko? Seveda ne, imam 7 drugih Sleek paletk, ob vsem mejkapu res ne rabim še ene. A dejstvo je, da ob vsem mejkapu največ uporabljam ravno Sleek, ker so najcenejše in najbolj pigmentirane sence za oči v nižje cenovnem rangu. Zaradi tega se nisem mogla upreti skušnjavi, ko mi je Anja iz spletne drogerije Moja Drogerija kot blogerki ponudila poseben popust na Sleek paletke, in sem naročila dve – Vintage Romance, ki vam jo predstavljam danes, ter Ultra Mattes Darks V2, ki jo bom predstavila v prihajajočih objavah.

Eeeeverybody is talking about it. Do I NEED it? Of course not, I own 7 other Sleek palettes already, with all the other brands, I certainly don’t NEED more make-up. Granted, Sleek palettes are the ones I use the most – the cheapest and most pigmented in this low price range. And when Anja from Slovenian internet drugstore Moja Drogerija offered a special price of Sleek palettes to some of us bloggers, I couldn’t resist the temptation and ordered two, Vintage Romance which I am reviewing today, and Ultra Mattes Darks V2 which I will review some other time.

Nekateri odtenki so bolj pigmentirani od drugih, ampak kar se mene tiče, je Sleeku spet uspelo! Moje mastne veke sicer ne dovoljujejo, da bi nosila sence brez baze, ampak z bazo so odtenki še toliko lepši! Barve so naravnost popolne za jesen, še vedno pa dovolj vsestranske, da se jih lahko nosi skozi celo leto. Všeč mi je, da imajo različne finiše, od satenastega, svetlikajočega, do mat. Kot pri vseh ostalih Sleek paletah se tudi tu senčilo trosi po obrazu ob nanosu, vendar to mene niti ne moti, saj puder vedno nanašam po končanem mejkapu oči (ko/če ga nosim). Zelo rada uporabljam to in ostale Sleek paletke, zato jih definitivno priporočam v uporabo – tale pa je v omejeni izdaji, zato si jo, če vam je všeč, le priskrbite, dokler si jo lahko. Preko Moje Drogerije si jo lahko priskrbite tule.

Some of the shades are more pigmented than others but as far as I am concerned Sleek did it again! My oily eyelids require wearing a primer underneath the eyeshadows, but that makes the colors pop even more! The colors are generally perfect for fall but versatile enough to wear throughout the year and I love the different finishes eyeshadows have, from velvety, shimmery, to matte. Like all Sleek palettes this one too produces fallout, but I don’t mind that, when/if I wear foundation, I apply it after doing my eye make up. I’m having a blast using this and other Sleek palettes so I would definitely recommend Sleek to anyone – this palette is Limited Edition though so if you like it, get it while you can.
