A lapsed post revived after two months

Me and my blog posting time – or rather lack of it. Somehow I never got to post this one, even though I wanted to show this so much, I was so happy to get it and it means so much to me =) Yet time passed so swiftly and this kept waiting. Now that it’s the end of the year and everybody is putting up pictures of their Christmas gifts, I have a special post dedicated just to show you, what my dear boyfriend brought me from Germany two months ago, when I couldn’t go with him and everyone else.

He asked me beforehand what polishes I would like to have if they had any time for shopping and I’ve emailed him two photos, an H&M “Blue my mind” and a P2 “Gigantic” (if there was one to get by any chance, I know that it has been discontinued). Later on he told me while he was still there, that no H&M he had been to was selling polishes (other than the small ones we get here in Slovenia as well), nor he could find Gigantic (understandable). But he told me that he got something else instead, I couldn’t wait for him to get back home and see the goodies for myself! =)))

Here’s what he brought home for me:

He bought the P2 crackling polish in the similar color to “Gigantic”, the black Colorama he bought because it was Halloween and he wanted to complete his mask and wear it but then ended up not using it at all, and the silvery Misslyn was a bonus for me (I guess he wanted to surprise me with something extra). How amazing is that! =))))) <3<3<3

My girlfriends later told me how sweet he was running back and forth between polish stands in the drugstore, asking them whether they think I would like this or that polish… <3<3<3 =)))) Not only that, he told me that prior to buying any, he also checked and made sure that the brushes were intact!! xDDD

Even though I had no time to publish this sooner, I think it deserved a post of its own. Love is truly showing in the smallest details in life and I am a really lucky girl to have such a thoughtful man! Thank you my love!!! <3<3<3 You truly are the best and I love you dearly! =))))) =**********

My Christmas Day mani – Wine Shimmer Colorama

Hello my dear readers! I know it’s been a while since I actually posted a manicure and that I’ve been absent a lot lately, but that doesn’t mean I forgot about you (or your blogs, dear fellow bloggers!). There is a reason I had no time to post anything, of course work is a big factor and takes up a lot of my time (thank god I have a job btw!), but I also had a lot of business trips to Germany in the last two months. I am very happy to say that even though it was mostly very busy and we had just a little free time to go about, I was able to visit some Germany’s drug stores and buy me some cosmetic goodies (wooohooooooooo! :))))))). Now I can’t wait to try them out and show them to you! ;)

Now that it’s Christmas time I am enjoying a week off work :) I had to work on Monday so there was no special mani for Christmas Eve (during the day it was just another day of being in a hurry), but I had time to do it on Christmas Day, yaaaaay! :))) I finally chose to try one of the gorgeous beauties I bought a month ago and I haven’t seen it sold in Slovenia yet – a Maybelline Colorama 265 Wine Shimmer. It’s a beautiful red jelly packed with small holographic glitter – perfect for Christmas!

Check this beauty out! :)

I have to say, my camera had trouble picking up the right color, the most color accurate photo may be the last one, but the brightness is more accurate on first photos - it’s a bright deep red. Here I have three coats – not necessary for coverage, two is enough, but with two the color is lighter (and the reason I have three is I messed up one finger and had to put on the third coat – but then the difference in color showed so I had to even that out). I don’t know how the VNL comes up in the photos, in real life it is not visible unless you really really try hard to look for it.

The formula is great, it dries nicely, the only minus is that my tips were worn off from the beginning – but that may be due to my Essence better than gel nails top sealer shrinking it. I love how it shines and the depth it has being a jelly with glitters shining in different layers. I love it! :)

I hope all of you had a warm and happy Christmas with your families! :)

Bourjois Fuchsia Hype

Hello everybody, I finally have some time to post something. I’ve decided to show you an amazing polish I wore back in September but somehow never got to publish. I bought it in a package together with two mascaras – one was inside the box and one just tied to it. Here’s what the original package looked like (picture taken from www.parfumcenter.hu – the only one I could find since I never took one), they are still being sold in Slovenia:

The mascara tied to the box was this one (picture taken from http://www.xtras-online.co.uk):

Unfortunately I’m disappointed in both of the mascaras, still searching for my holy grail. But let’s get back to the subject. The Fuchsia Hype polish – such a win! The color is amazing, the application is amazing, I put on two coats but I think if you are talented enough you need only one, and the staying time – wow! I wore it for days and it didn’t start chipping until I had to do a hard cleanup of the apartment after repainting! I just love the quality of this one! ^ ^

And the photos I took:

Does anyone else own any Bourjois “So Laque” polishes? Do you have similar experiences?

NOTD: Gilded

Twilight – the saga I know (almost) nothing about and something that interests me like dust on a shelf. However, every year it brings about Essence’s awesome trend editions and this year’s was no exception! I thought I was going to buy all four polishes, but somehow sanity kicked in when I was at the stand and I left one shade (!) on the shelf – Edward’s love just seemed too much like last years Hunt me if you can (and I’ve read about that before, but was certain I was going to get it anyway). So this is how I became a proud owner of three new polishes from Essence’s Breaking Dawn Trend Edition (I also bought the lipstick, love that shimmer!).

The problem was, I was so in love with the Maybelline Colorama 145 I showed you in my last post, I didn’t want to take it off just yet. And since I’ve read that the golden A piece of forever polish from Breaking Dawn was good for stamping, I once again pulled out my Kand nail plate CK-04 that I got from Born Pretty Store. Here are the results:

And the last photo was taken in the daylight:

You can see I wanted to have both polishes in my hand, boy it gave me trouble, LOL! :D But I love that combination!

If you like this stamping plate, you can get it here: 42 Cute Patterns Quadrate Nail Art Stamp Template CK-04 http://www.bornprettystore.com/cute-patterns-french-nail-image-stamp-template-series-models-p-2573.html and you can use my discount code CHL91

NOTD: New Maybelline Colorama 145

Hello my dear polishholics! First I have to apologize for not quickly responding to your dear comments on my past three posts, I scheduled them upfront and didn’t think to mention that (I’ll make sure to include that information in the future, just so you know) and couldn’t answer until I got back to Slovenia. But thank you thank you thank you all for your comments, it really means a lot to me! <3

Today I have such an amazing polish to show to you, perfect for autumn! I was curious what the new polishes from Maybelline Colorama are like so I bought this beautiful red shade with golden shimmer. I wear red so rarely, I’m definitely a pink kind of girl (mostly because I don’t have a fashion sense at all and so combining different clothes gives me a headache, even more so when it comes to red vs. pink – so much easier to stick to just one and not to think about it too much… not really proud of that though or pleased with either, maybe I’ll have to change that… =/ ). OK, here are the photos!

The first one is taken under the direct artificial light (and I think this is what it would look like under the sunlight):

IMG_6108
And the second one just under the plain light in my room which gave it a more brownish shade (kind of like in the shade =D):

IMG_6139
I had no trouble with the application, the polish dried quickly, I painted it in two layers. The new bottles contain 7ml whereas the old ones had 7,5ml of polish, the price however I think is the same, a little less than 3€.

Check out the color and the golden shimmer! Isn’t it just gorgeous! Man, I have to wear red more often! =)))

Have you also bought any new Colorama polishes yet, do you like them?

Thanks for reading! =)
